The Best Way To Set Up Fitness Machines For Gym At Office

By: Adriana Noton

Many people who work from 9 to 5 do not have time in their daily schedules to include regular visits to a gym. With so much emphasis being placed on fitness and health, a lot of companies have decided to set up gym facilities for their staff. If you are an employer, here are some tips about fitness machines for gym at office.
There are so many advantages of having a gym set-up at your office, not the least of which is the time-saving factor. Your employees will be thrilled. They will not have to wake at the crack of dawn and rush off to the gym for a workout before getting to the office. And they will not need to rush off the minute the work day ends.
With this pressure taken out of their lives, you will definitely reap the rewards. Your employees are bound to be more motivated and committed to their jobs, and you will notice a marked increase in productivity. They can work out every day at the office gym before work begins, after work or at lunch time.
The cost of setting up a gym at the office will depend on the number of people on your pay roll, and what equipment you want to install. If you have a small staff complement, your set-up would be quite similar to a home gym. In this case you would be looking at around the $10,000 to $15,000 mark.
The size of the gym floor space will be the major factor when determining how much equipment can be installed. Assume you have an area of 1000 square feet, and you want to equip it with enough machinery to cater for 30-40 people. You could do this adequately for plus/minus $50,000 if you buy refurbished equipment.
For the average office gym, you do not need to buy all sorts of fancy, expensive machines. You are not doing it for the couple of macho men on your staff. You are doing it to enable most of your employees to enjoy working out in a convenient environment. Therefore you only need to stick to basic items.
An absolute must is a couple of good motorized treadmills. Half an hour on a treadmill once a day is a great way of keeping in shape. It also provides excellent cardio exercise, so you will find this a very popular piece of equipment in your gym. New treadmills sell for about $2,000 - $3,000.
You will also need some sturdy exercise bicycles. These are available with all kinds of functions. Prices start from around $150 per bike and can go as high as $5,000. Because cycling is a good way to lose weight, your female employees will put them to good use.
In addition to the treadmills and bicycles, other items that you will need to consider include an elliptical trainer, a variety of weights and a bench press. Obviously there are numerous other pieces of gym equipment available. Have a look online for other options. Finally, you will need change rooms and shower facilities for your employees.
